DESCANSO GARDENSA month ago, my wife Mary suggested a weekend outing to Descanso Gardens in La Canada. Here we are in the middle of winter, such as it is in Southern California, who woulda thunk we'd find budding and blooming flowers intertwined in the still somewhat wintery branches. We arrived a bit late in the afternoon so lighting for photos was challenging particularly without a tripod. But I still managed to get a few keepers. I'm looking forward to going back in the Spring with more in bloom, more time and my tripod in hand. Here are a few of the images from Descanso Gardens.
